Workshops and Classes:
Applications Now Available!
Applications due February 28th for the July 14-August 10, 2012 summer session. California Summer School for the Arts (CSSSA) offers instruction in the fields of animation, music, dance, film and video, theatre, creative writing and the visual arts. The California Legislature created the California State Summer School for the Arts to provide a training environment for the state's exceptional young artists. The school has conducted summer sessions in each consecutive year beginning in 1987. Thousands of young Californians have attended since the program's inception. For many of them, it was the first step to important and successful careers in the arts and related industries. Statewide, only 500 of approximately 1,600 applicants are selected to attend this exceptional summer session. Typically, 15-20 students have been selected from Sonoma County.
